Parents are asked to help by participating in duty rosters, laundry and working bees. Parents and/or family members are rostered to spend the whole session with us when on duty. In order to keep fees to a minimum, parents will be asked to perform various cleaning and maintenance duties during the session.
This is an ideal opportunity to see how the children spend their time at the kindergarten and to be involved in some of their experiences. Parents who are unable to participate in the duty roster are asked to contribute $25.00 each term instead.
Laundry will be sent home at the end of each week. Please ensure that it returns to the kindergarten with you child on Monday (A and B groups) and Wednesday (C group). You will have the laundry 2 or 3 times a year.
Families are asked to participate in keeping our grounds, buildings and equipment tidy and neat. Working bees will take place once a term, for the first 3 terms, as advised by the Ormond Kindergarten's Working Bee Co-ordinator.
For those who attend a working bee there will be an attendance form to sign and indicate your child’s group as you leave. It is important you complete the form, as attendance will result in the refund of your $60.00 deposit, which was paid at the time your child’s enrolment was confirmed. Note: Clean up after the Dutch Auction is considered a working bee.
