Ormond Kindergarten Policies

The Ormond Community kindergarten has detailed policies on behaviour management, complaints, enrolments, excursions and incursions, fees, health, hygiene and sun smart. These policies are kept in the office and are available for parents to read.

Notices will be displayed on the door and foyer at the entrance of the Ormond Community kindergarten to assist you to keep up to date with happenings at the kindergarten. Newsletters will be distributed monthly; these will cover kindergarten events and topical tissues.

There are certain days during the kinder term when children do not attend kinder.

These days are as follows: The first day of each term, which allows teachers time for preparation and setting up of the kinder.Fathers’ Night – staff and children attend kinder in the evening. The day sessions are not held in order to give the teachers time for preparation.Orientation and Excursion days.Melbourne Cup Day and the Monday preceding Melbourne Cup Day.Christmas concert days.

Alterations to these non kinder days will be subject to the discretion of the Committee of Management and notice will be given to parents if any changes occur.

As a safety precaution for both parents and children, please park on the kindergarten side of Oakleigh Road and take children out of the car on to the grass area (not on the road).
